Features and Advantages

Features

SAT DUCT panels are made of PHENOLIC or PIR foam sandwiched between two aluminum foil facings.
SAT DUCT, due to speed and ease of fabrication has been proposed as an alternative product to conventional Galvanized Iron (G.I) sheet ducting system.
Sat Duct pre-insulated system satisfies the need for projects where quick build times are required. It is suitable for Residential, Industrial, Commercial buildings as well as Malls and Airports.

Advantages

Weight
The SAT DUCT system is lightweight and can be handled easily. The weight of the panel is approximately 130 gm/ft2, which is much less than conventional duct, G-I fiberglass insulated duct, canvas cloth and all related accessories.
Also, SATDUCT is strong enough to withstand rigorous maintenance activities.

Easy to Design
Sat duct panels can be easily designed manually or by CNC machine, computerized with special software. CNC machine can tailor the panel to the best possible and most efficient method to reduce the wastages. They fit every specified shape may be required with the least effort.

Easy to Fabricate
SAT DUCT panels are easily designed and fabricated whether it be manually or by CNC machine. Proprietary software for CNC machines is available that will tailor the panel to the most efficient design the thereby reducing waste. The finished duct work fits every specified shape with minimum effort.

Air Tightness
SAT DUCT has excellent hermetic qualities that improves system efficiency and reduces running coast. This is due to the engineered connection joints that prevent any possible air leakage.

Fire Resistance
SAT DUCT Phenolic and PIR panels have been tested for Fire Properties & Smoke Development. The tests meet with the international British and American standards, BS 476 and UL 723 Standards

Vibration
The density and rigidity of SAT DUCT ensures less vibration and reduces noise level compared to the G.1. ducting.

Hygiene
SAT DUCT is very much more hygienic due to the simplicity of cleaning and washing the outer and inner surfaces.

Decoration Compatibility
SAT DUCT can be made compatible to any decorated media, where it needs to be painted to match the surroundings. It can also be left exposed to as an extra dimension to the ceiling view.

Weather Proofing
Normal indoor use of SAT DUCT panels calls for 21 mm thick material with 60/80 micron Aluminum foil. For outdoors use a panel 30 mm panel with aluminum thickness 200 – 500 microns designed to withstand harsh weather, temperature and humidity.

Thermal Conductivity
SAT DUCT panels K value for Phenolic and PIR are approved by ASTM C-518 standard confirming that SAT DUCT is one of the best thermal insulation material.

UV Resistance
SAT DUCT panels are coated with epoxy primer on aluminum foil facing guarantees UV protection to the panels. QUV test 4 hours UV 313 nm at 60° C an, 4 hours condense °C 40 for 1000 hours with light fading without pulverizing.

Thermal shock Resistance
SAT DUCT panels are resistance to thermal shock (according to AICC No 13) no alteration. Accordingly SAT DUCT would be ideal for indoor and outdoor use.

Green Building Eligibility
SAT DUCT is CFC- free which makes this product environmentally friendly and eligible to green building concept due to above characteristics.
